January 2013 Update

Alien Refuge (Clans of Kalquor Book 7) – The first draft is done.  Happy dance!  With two editing passes and proofreading to go, I’m thinking it won’t be out any later than April.  Yes, yes, I’ll have it out earlier if possible.  Don’t yell at me.

Clan Beginnings:  Clan and Conviction – This one has kind of spun out of control.  Covering the three years that it took Gelan and Wynhod to convince Krijero to join their clan is kicking my butt.  I can’t even guess when this book will be done as I am still outlining it.

Nuns of Europa:  Sister Katherine - Also in outlining phase, though this story is behaving much nicer than Clan Gelan’s.  I’m thinking a summer release.

To Protect and Service:  Ravenous Virtue – Plugging along and about a third of the way through the first draft.  I’m having fun with this alternate dimension story.  Hero Vendeen is a bad, bad man ... which means I’m loving him.

Shalia’s Diary – Now posting two entries a week on Mondays and Thursdays.  This month, close encounters with Dramok Dusa, meeting Nobek Esak, Kalquorian music appreciation, Commander Nang shows up,  and the wrath of the Pageant Trio.

Consider yourselves updated.  Happy New Year!

  1. Good luck with Clan Gelan. I think if I were writing a story that covered a long time period, I would probably jump in near the end and cover the beginning with memories and flashbacks. I don't envy you that job. Any way you do it sounds tough. Looking forward to the end result though. I love Krijero so much.

    1. He's so awesome in this story, if stubborn. More about what's going on with this on WIP Wednesday this coming week.

  2. Super curious about Protect and Service! And can I say the Pageant Trio may be the scariest characters you've ever written. I know those women, and they are horrifying! I think I'd rather run into a Tragoom! Run Shalia RUN!

    1. You have no idea what these three -- ahem -- 'ladies' are capable of. I have met them in several different guises throughout my life, and all I can say is "eek!"

  3. I swear I went to high school with those women. They are the reason I skip the reunions.
