            Senior Investigator Dramok Gelan stood in his superior’s office, a sense of disquiet filling him.  Head Investigator Utta’s office hadn’t changed during Gelan’s week-long leave, much as the planet Kalquor’s Southwest Mountain Territory Police Headquarters hadn’t altered.  Yet everything was different.

            I’m different.  That’s what’s changed.
