April 2016 Update

Shalia’s Diary Book 7 – The last posted storyline was released in book form yesterday. This book includes from when Shalia and Anrel were recovering from the It up to last Thursday’s post. Get your copy from Amazon, Amazon UK, Barnes & Noble, Smashwords, and All Romance. Also in print.

Shalia’s Diary Book 8 – Out as a book next Friday, April 8. The new story sees Shalia visit a space station where she and Candy find all new trouble, Haven Colony for a very special occasion, and at long last – Kalquor itself. If you still enjoy getting your fix in serial cliff-hanger form, no worries. The free blog starts up again on April 18.

Clans of Kalquor 10: Alien Hostage – Release date April 22. No pre-orders from Amazon for the usual reasons. I will be working up to the very last second to get this done in time.

For those of you outside of the U.S. and Canada, I have signed a contract regarding international e-book rights for the Clans of Kalquor series. This will mean that there will be more venues from which to buy these books in the future. Because the series will be re-released sequentially starting with Clans of Kalquor 1: Alien Embrace, that means the release of Alien Hostage outside of North America will be delayed. I do not have a specific date for any of the Clans of Kalquor re-releases and Alien Hostage at this time. I will be sure to let you know as things are scheduled.

The same goes for the print release of Alien Hostage everywhere, including North America. With the new contract, print books of the Clans of Kalquor series will be available at a date still to be determined. This will allow the series to reach a wider audience. I’m looking forward to celebrating this exciting milestone with all of you!

In the meantime, here’s a little idea of what you can expect from Alien Hostage:

Tasha Salter is caught in a quandary: she wants to fall in love, but past trauma keeps her from commitment. The only people she trusts are her family, especially in this time of treason against the Kalquorian Empire. When she and her three-year-old cousin are abducted by the revolt’s shadowy leader the Basma, matters of the heart no longer apply. She finds herself in a battle for their survival.

Clan Falinset left Kalquor in self-imposed exile when their parents’ illegal activities threatened their honor. Dramok Falinset, Imdiko Nur, and Nobek Wekniz want only to be left alone to live their quiet lives. Yet the drumbeat of war is sounding as traitorous forces prepare to attack Kalquor. Worse still, the Basma wants his son Falinset at his side … and refuses to take no for an answer.

A wild escape attempt throws Tasha and her young charge into the reluctant care of Clan Falinset. With betrayal in their past and war in their future, there is no reason to find love. Yet passion flares between those who should be enemies, leading Clan Falinset and Tasha to realize that they are not on opposite sides after all. Together they have the chance to heal.

Yet the sins of the fathers have come to rest on the shoulders of their sons. Falinset must make an impossible choice: bow to his father’s blackmail and turn traitor to the Empire or doom his clan by saving the young princess of Kalquor and the woman he’s fallen in love with.

Portals to Risnar Book 1 – I had to put this one on hold while I crunch on Shalia and Alien Hostage. I’m looking forward to diving back in when May rolls around. No release date has been set.

As I mentioned last week, my schedule is slammed because of the multiple book releases. My cyber-schooled son must also report out of town for state-mandated testing for a week this month. I will not be able to respond in a timely manner to comments, questions, and emails during April. Hopefully I’ll soon be able to catch my breath and get a life again, hahahaha. Let me dream, okay? In the meantime, take care and I’ll hopefully be back and sane in a month!
