The Kalquor Timeline

I was recently asked by a reader to provide a timeline of when the various books occur, especially when it comes to the Clan Beginnings series.  I’ve been meaning to do this for myself, as I am starting to get confused as to when certain events happened.  It seems like I’m constantly going back and looking at older books to get my bearings.  The Kalquor saga is growing faster than even I can keep up with.

So to that end, I have done my best to figure out the ‘when’ of each book, whether already written or in the planning stages.  Here is what I came up with, though knowing me, I might have made some miscalculations.  If you catch me placing something in the wrong sequence, do me a favor and tell me.  Heaven knows, I need all the help I can get!

My ‘zero point’ is Armageddon.  The timeline is based around that occurrence.  Here’s what I have:

Clan, Honor, and Empire (Clan Rajhir’s WIP):  55 years before Armageddon

Clan and Crown (Clan Clajak’s WIP):  40 years before Armageddon

Clan and Conviction:  16 years before Armageddon

To Clan and Conquer:  6 years before Armageddon

Clan Companions 1 (Untitled WIP):  4 years before Armageddon

Alien Embrace :  Approximately 2 years prior to Armageddon

Alien Rule, Michaela (WIP), and Clan Bacoj Beginnings (Untitled WIP):  Approximately one and a half years prior to Armageddon

Alien Conquest, Sister Katherine:  Armageddon occurs during these books

Shalia’s Diary:  Starts 2 months after Armageddon

Alien Salvation: 6 months after Armageddon

Alien Slave, Brianna’s Clan (WIP):  Over a year after Armageddon

Alien Redemption:  2 years after Armageddon

Alien Refuge:     3 years after Armageddon

Alien Caged (WIP):  Almost 4 years after Armageddon

Alien Indiscretions (WIP):  4 years after Armageddon

Alien Hostage (WIP):  4 and a half years after Armageddon

Okay, I have something else to put out there to the readers.  Like many of you, I adore physical books as well as e-books.  However, I have begun to pull away from putting my own books in print.  The last one I did was Alien Refuge.  I’m not sure I want to bother with putting the next one, Alien Caged, in any format besides e-book.  While I make some money from print books, it’s little enough that I can live without it (especially given the aggravation of formatting it).  If you will do me the kindness of voting on the poll at the top right of the blog, answering whether or not you plan to buy Alien Caged in print, I would be most appreciative.  Thanks!

  1. Thanks for the timeline!! Worth pointing out, voting can only be done on the web version, not mobile version... Took my silly brain a few minutes to figure that out :)

  2. Whoa, I didn't realize Alien Caged will be four years after the war ended! That's crazy knowing the guys have been prisoners that whole time!!

    1. They weren't prisoners that whole time, Cara. They were captured well after the war ended by a rogue battlecruiser for very nefarious reasons.

  3. Nefarious....one of my favorite words. :D

Just so you know, all of the books of yours that I have were purchased as e-books. I can't wait to find them in print format and I get them the minute I find out they are available. lol

    1. Oh, I almost forgot...thank you so much for taking the time to figure out the time-line. Once I've got 'Alien caged', I may just re-read all the books in the time-line order while I am waiting for the next book to come out.

I'm so excited to see you have so many WIP books waiting in the wings. You have created such an exciting universe for us to visit. I can't thank you enough!

  4. I know I found your books by accident and began to read them out of order. Do you have plans to put "Book 1 of the Kalquor Clan Beginnings Series" or something like that so your new fans can read your beautiful books in chronological order?

I know you actually have two different series under the same planet we know and love as Kalquor. Just making a suggestion, since as time goes by you'll have more and more books in the series. :)

    1. Of my self-published books, the series number appears on the covers. As I get Books 2 - 5 back, I will be fixing them as well. When I put the series online, I tell Kindle and the rest what number the book is in the series. Amazon never posts it...big surprise.

  5. Love the time line. I'm not surprised you start getting tangled up with so many books out now (are you going to have two books titled "Alien Slave?" I thought that was the name of Dani's book.) Whatever you call them and whatever the timeline, I'll keep buying them as soon as they come out, in whatever format I can get them. Love those Kalquorians. So yummy.
PS. You're my hero and my inspiration so I have to tell you - Finished the first draft of my own romance novel today. OMG I wrote a book! Now I'm sick to my stomach. What if it sucks?

    1. No, there are not two Alien Slaves. I'm not sure why you think there are? It's only mentioned once on the timeline that I see.

Yay for your first book!!! Good for you! Now you edit, edit, edit, get someone to proofread it, have a couple of beta readers check it out and report back to you...that's how you keep it from sucking! By the way, I always ask at some point with each book, 'what if it sucks?' I'm doing that right now with Alien Caged. Eek!

  6. Alien Slave, Brianna’s Clan (WIP): is on the timeline but Alien Slave is also Dani's story with Clan Gelan, right? Dontovon slave girl, Clans of Kalquor 5. Sorry if I'm being obnoxious but I'm confused.

    1. 'Alien Slave' (Dani and Clan Gelan) is one book. The WIP 'Brianna's Clan' is another (It is not 'Alien Slave: Brianna's Clan'). Both books happen at about the same time. Hope that clears it up! :D

  7. I wouldn't worry too much about Alien Caged. If your books sucked you wouldn't have such a rabid fan base, stalking your every move and panting after each new book. I know I'm going to love each new Kaquor book before it even comes out (but no pressure, right?)
