Curled on the living room’s velvet overstuffed sofa, Tosha sipped her wine and nibbled on the nail she’d broken. She ran down the list CyberServe had sent her while Brick researched every inch of her contacts on the computer she’d bought for his use. If there was a task she couldn’t get him to do, Beauchamp and his brain squad hadn’t thought of it. Household maintenance and cleaning. Emergency medical care. Childcare. Lawncare. Farming. Animal husbandry, for heaven’s sake.
And sex. Levels of sex that ranged from turning Brick into little more than a man-sized vibrator, to a walking, talking, fucking sex manual from every culture known to have existed. There was even software that allowed him to offer sex therapy, based on the teaching of several top universities. The implications were mindboggling.
Tosha was no angel. She’d sampled sex widely and freely, particularly during her Untamed decade. Though she hadn’t bothered with an actual relationship since Chef Pants on Fire (so dubbed for his lies and numerous dalliances), she hired a sex worker from Snuggle Buddies every couple of weeks to unload tension and keep the pipes in working order.
Brick had the potential to take care of those needs, no faceless prostitute required. Nor would she have to worry about a relationship that could steal her focus…or empty out her bank account when an ex-lover sued for partner support.
