August 2015 Update: Cover Reveals and Book Release News!

Shalia’s Diary – The diary starts up again tomorrow! I’m calling this storyline ‘connective tissue’. There are issues galore for Shalia to face, the biggest being how weak and unprepared she feels when it comes to guarding Anrel’s welfare. This is basically a prequel to coming adventures. So relax and enjoy Shalia’s recovery from the It, spending time with her baby girl, and getting to know her main two suitor clans. Oh yes, there may be a blast or two from the past as well...

Shalia’s Diary Book 6

And while we’re talking about Shalia, the sixth storyline is just about ready to be released in book format. If you can handle re-living the harrowing adventure with the It, you can snag your copy Friday, August 21. This delicious cover alone is worth it!

Clan Beginnings: Clan and Crown

A couple of surprises for you. First of all, that gorgeous cover. In particular, hello Egilka!

We all know what a cover means ... the book is close to release. Yes, I have been busting butt on this one over the summer, and it is already in the hands of the proofreader. The December release became November, and now it is moving up again. I am now tentatively scheduling it for September (!) but no hard date until I get the edits back. I will keep you informed, of course.

Netherworld IV: Animal Attraction – The outline of the long-delayed return of Brandilynn is done. I will start on the first draft within a couple of weeks. I have not set a release date.

Now as to the television show based on Kalquor: It fell through. Things started feeling not so good about the producer’s vision for it. I saw things heading in a direction that I didn’t think my readers wanted to see. His lack of experience with science fiction television also caused major worries for me, along with several other concerns. After a lot of soul searching and discussions with Hubs and friends, I have decided to walk away.

Some good did come out of it with a better pilot episode written to be shopped around to other producers. Who knows, maybe Kalquorians will appear on your televisions some sweet day. In the meantime, we still have the books!

Thanks to everyone for all the support and well wishes. I couldn’t ask for better readers! Much love to you all.

June 2015 Update

Hi all. Happy summer! Here's what's happening with my writing:

Shalia’s Diary – The fight heats up as Shalia battles for her and her unborn’s life against the infection of the It.

Clan Beginnings: Clan and Crown— The first draft is complete. It's another sizable book which sits in the neighborhood of 125K words before edits. I am taking a break before beginning edits to spend summer vacation with my son. Release date: mid-December.

Netherworld IV: Animal Attraction and Brianna’s Clan – No change for these two as I chose to concentrate exclusively on Clan Clajak’s story these past few weeks.

Chronicles of Kalquor (working title of the television show): Nothing new to report at this time. The pilot is still being developed as producer and writer wrangle over the details. I think I have the overall story locked down pretty well though ... while it is a departure from the books, I am trying to make sure it will reflect what you and I would like to see on the small screen.

With summer break and working on books and the show, I am hard to reach these days. Please be patient with me ... I have a lot on my plate. Meanwhile, I hope you all have a wonderful summer filled with good health and good fun ... and lots of good reading! Much love to you all.

May 2015 Update

Shalia’s Diary –Candy’s bizarre behavior, a saboteur on the ship, and Shalia under lock and key are on the menu for May.

Shalia’s Diary Book 5 is out. If you like having this one in your library, grab it at Amazon, Amazon UK, Barnes & Noble, Smashwords, and All Romance. Also in print.

Netherworld IV: Animal Attraction – Over halfway finished outlining. No release date set.

Clan Beginnings: Clan and Crown— Writing, writing, writing. One moment Clajak and Egilka want to strangle each other, the next it’s all passion. In between, they’ve got an outraged Bi’isil trying to enslave them and an Adraf holding them for ransom. I’m not sure when was the last time I had so much fun with a story. Release date: mid-December.

Brianna’s Clan – For ages, readers have wanted to see a clan come together all at once, including the Matara. The request to let an Earther woman put together her own clan has been made more times than I can count. Ask and ye shall receive. For that reason, this book (not part of the main Clans of Kalquor series) will contain m/m/m sex as well as m/f/m/m. Release date: June 2016.

Chronicles of Kalquor (working title of the television show): We are still wrangling with the pilot script, but inching forward towards a final product to woo networks and cable channels with. I am working with a producer who knows his stuff, and his guidance has shown me how little I know when it comes to pacing and structure of episodic television – but I am learning.

Yes, this version of Kalquor will depart somewhat from the books, but I realized that was inevitable when I embarked on this project. In all honesty, I’m loving where we’re going with this. We start off with the events of Alien Embrace with Clan Rajhir and Amelia. Also involved are some back story elements with Clans Clajak and Tranis. That’s where it is right now, at least. I can guarantee that if this gets sold, changes to the current script are inevitable. Such is the mayhem of putting together a final script. But for the moment, some of your favorite clans are set to make an appearance. And yes, we have every intention of casting the hunkiest, most drool-worthy men as our heroes!

BIG THANKS to those of you who have written reviews for my books on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, All Romance, and Smashwords. I would like to thank particularly those who went above and beyond by posting reviews for ALL the books, not just Alien Embrace, Alien Rule, and the newest one Alien Indiscretions. I cannot express my gratitude enough for the valuable time and effort you made on my behalf.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I truly love my readers!
