New Video Blog

I've got a new vlog for you, pronouncing the names from Alien Interludes, the short story collection.  Due to the many names that appear in Alien Interludes, I am breaking it up into several videos. This particular one goes through the characters that appear in the stories 'Hunted' and 'Abduction'.  How many do you know how to pronounce? Find out here.

Shalia's Diary Book 3 Now Available

This is a compilation from the free serial story blog ‘Shalia’s Diary – A Clans of Kalquor Story'.   It is highly recommended you read Shalia’s Diary, Books 1 and 2 before reading this story.  Shalia’s Diary Book 3 picks up immediately where Book 2 left off.

Told in the passages of her ongoing diary, Shalia Monroe’s adventures continue when she leaves Earth to find and join a clan on Kalquor.  However, her heart still breaks for young Clan Dusa, making Shalia wonder if she can indeed find love again.

With new friends Candy and Katrina, Shalia vows to never again fall for men she cannot keep.  However, Kalquorians are always a willing temptation and Shalia is a magnet for dilemmas.  She’s got more trouble than she ever bargained for on board the Kalquorian transport, with surprises and new enemies coming at her from every side.  Men who push her boundaries, someone new to worry over, and a universe full of hostile entities are only a few of the challenges Shalia faces as she begins her journey to a new life.

Mild BDSM, including anal play/intercourse, bondage, Dom/sub play, spankings, and multiple sexual partners (m/f/m).

Now available from Amazon, Amazon UK, and Smashwords. Also in print.

Unfortunately, Nook continues to foul up the formatting on everything I upload to it.  If you wish to buy your copy from Barnes and Noble's website, you will have to wait for Smashwords to send their version to it (the same goes for Kobo).  I am sorry for the delay. Thanks as always for your patience.

WIP Wednesday – Clans of Kalquor 9: Alien Indiscretions

As Diltan had expected, he found his clanmates in the common room, playing a round of akmag at the gaming table.  Wal was tossing the stones as Diltan walked in.  Rolat groaned and flung a card at the grinning Imdiko as one of the vid tokens moved across the holoboard.
The entertainment vid system, only slightly smaller than the one in the greeting room, was predictably off.  No one in Clan Diltan was a fan of the news vids or dramas that played on the broadcasts.  Documentaries, educational lessons, and the occasional concert were more to their tastes.  The three men saw more than enough news and drama in their everyday lives.
Wal’s evil grin turned gentle as he looked at Diltan.  Warmth pulsed through the Dramok’s heart at the welcoming expression from his clanmate.  Looking at that caring countenance, it was hard to believe that Wal had once despised him with all of his being.
Diltan loved Wal’s smile.  It transformed the quietly handsome Imdiko.  Nothing about Wal stood out as particularly noteworthy until he smiled.  His features were well-formed but not memorable.  His hair was the typical Kalquorian black; straight, slightly below shoulder-length, pulled back off his face at the temples.  He was toned but not overly muscled, his frame long and more elegantly shaped than either of his clanmates’.
He had a tendency to look serious, no surprise for a judge who sat on the most important cases that affected the Empire.  It was not the typical career for an Imdiko, but having been raised by a family steeped in law enforcement, Wal had found a niche.  Still, it was a tough career for the nurturing breed.  The corners of Wal’s mouth were slightly lined because he found too many reasons to frown.  He had sentenced men to life sentences and even execution.  It wore on his conscience to do so, and his clanmates had found it necessary to monitor his drinking when sensational cases came Wal’s way.  Without supervision, the Imdiko tended to find more solace in the bottle than was wise.
Diltan grinned at Wal, delighted to see his clanmate in good spirits.  His clanmate’s entire face lit up when he smiled, transforming him from forgettably handsome to beautiful.  Even after decades of clanship, the sight was enough to thrill the Dramok.

New Video Blog and Shalia’s Diary Book 3 News

After monumental struggle with YouTube, I have a new video up.  This one covers pronouncing names from Alien Slave.  You can check that out here.

I’m also pleased to announce that Shalia’s Diary Book 3 is ready to be released.  I will be loading it to distributors next week.  If you want to add it to your collection, keep an eye out.  I will announce it on the blog as it comes available via the usual suspects.  This story starts with Shalia’s first days aboard the transport taking her to Kalquor.

The kid is out of school for summer vacation, so my time is more limited than ever.  Please forgive the time lag it may take for me to respond to messages and comments.  I’m a busy, busy gal with books to write in between chasing an active boy.

Happy summer, all! And Happy Memorial Day to the real life heroes out there.

New Video Up and Books on Nook

Today I've got the name pronunciations from Alien Salvation.  You can hit up YouTube for another scintillating lesson in alien tongues. (There's a naughty thought.  If only!)

Speaking of Alien Salvation, I've gone over the book and am so thrilled to report it needed very few edits.  Just a little tightening of some grammar, and I was done.  That means if you already own a copy of that book, there will be no need to get the re-release, which should happen the last week of July.  All that will really change will be the cover art.  Yay!

I am also happy to tell you that Smashwords was able to load both Unholy Union and Clan, Honor, and Empire to Nook with only a few formatting issues.  I don't feel bad about my thwarted efforts to get a perfect copy onto B&N's platform now, since obviously Smashwords had trouble too.

In the case of Unholy Union, the 'front matter' has poor formatting.  That's the title page, warnings, table of contents, etc.  The story itself appears to be just fine and won't give you screaming fits to read.  You can now pick it up from all the major players: Kindle, Amazon UK, Nook, Smashwords, and print.

Clan, Honor, and Empire has a different formatting glitch.  It looks like there is no break at all between chapters.  One chapter ends and BOOM -- the next chapter's heading is on the very next line. However, I think we can agree this is a minor irritant (and once more, not as awful as what my upload attempts resulted in). At this point, I'm simply grateful to have something readable via Nook.  Hopefully, Nook Press will get off its collective ass and fix the problems they're having with their platform soon. If they don't, there will continue to be a substantial lag between when my books are released and when they get to Nook. Make sure when you type in your search for CHE at Nook that you call it Clan Honor and Empire (capitalization is optional).  If you insert the commas, your search will turn up nothing.  Way to go, Barnes & Noble.

In the meantime, you can snag your copy of CHE at Amazon, Amazon UK, Nook, and Smashwords.  It too is also available in print.

Thanks for all your patience.  Have a great weekend, everyone.
